Nick Marlow
Over the past 25 years, I have specialised in the Career Management and People Development world. Specialising in delivering one to one programmes, I have coached thousands of individuals, at every level, within hundreds of organisaitons.
In my experience to date, careers are rarely planned, often defined by the employer/boss and often with little input or agency from the individual themselves. With this current state, I tasked myself to craft and finesse a bespoke model, and approach, to enable my clients to build a clear path for their own future success and fulfilment.
Working in close, confidential partnership, I quickly, build a bond of trust and openness; both critical ingredients to deliver achievement, momentum and change. My work focuses on the coachee realising and appreciating their talents and how their experience, knowledge, qualifications and background will indicate a clear way forward.
Nick’s Motto
‘I don’t want to be the guru in your life; I want you to be the guru in your life!’

My main goal is to ‘lift the fog.’ With a natural energy, I encourage clients to achieve clarity, navigate their own life with a natural momentum. Once the fog is gone, coacees, quickly, develop an aligned path which enables to improve performance, with greater engagement and clear actions and behaviours for sustainable change. Guiding clients with pace; ensures that the learning is quickly translated into positive actions and the impact of professional and personal growth is embedded and applied.
Personal experience of coaching.
Having benefited from coaching myself, at a critical point in my life. which enabled me to find my path when my professional life reached a crossroads in 1996. After a varied career, I realised, at the age of 35, that despite this success, I wasn’t fully engaged or motivated by my future direction and options.
Coaching changed this reality and enabled me to navigate change and realise my true potential. Now, I am passionate about enabling others by providing a congruent and supportive service that is creative, challenging yet fun.
Professional background
For the first 20 years of my career, I worked in diverse and challenging roles for three international, blue-chip organisations. I started as a Management Trainee in the banking sector, before moving into an International Sales and Marketing role for a manufacturing business. Travelling around Europe, my role was to build strong business partnerships and lead the creation and implementation of core marketing strategies.
In 1993, I joined Kraft Foods Europe, where I qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, two years later. My passion for personal development, specifically 1:1 coaching, grew during this period and, in addition to facilitating corporate management training programmes, I volunteered as a Samaritan and qualified as a therapist in 2000.
This wide commercial experience, qualifications and background allows me to understand the pressurised environment today’s executives operate within. This background and insight, is coupled with my extensive coaching expertise, and deep commitment to engage with others.
